This 4 Star Hotel in Belgrade, with a century and a half long tradition, has been awarded as The Hotel of the year 2006 in Serbia. This historic hotel was built around 1860., when romanticism was a prevailing style of Belgradian architecture, at a time when there were no other significant buildings at Terazije Street. The proprietor's name is unknown, however what we do know is that it was designed by the famous Belgradian architect-Andrija Vuković. However, since the hotel got dilapidated by time, the new owner decided to pull it down and make a new one. The present building was erected in the spring of 1935. to tell us a 70 year old tale.
